When Purchasing Company Technology, Evaluate for Accessibilty

Much of the world is on a digital platform now, and some companies are more friendly than others when it comes to making their software accessible.

There is more to assistive technology than the formal screen readers such as JAWS or NVDA, or Dragon-Naturally speaking. Many of the Apple products have a fantastic version of free screen-reading capability embedded in them (Voice Over), there are free applications available for Windows (NVDA), tablets such as Kindle were forced to become more accessible before they were purchased by schools, if memory serves me correctly

The point is, we can do a lot by simply doing a little research, and refusing to buy or keep platforms that don't visibly support accessibility
